Is There An End In Sight?

So my doctor appointment went well... too well. I was hoping she would say that we can schedule an induction date or c-section date in 2 weeks, but she didn't. She said everything is great! The babies are still both head down, they are growing, heart beats are excellent, and it looks like I could carry them at least until 37 weeks, if not more. I told her how I was still undecided on a c-section or not and she says there is no reason why I would need a c-section at this point. She basically said I would be crazy to want to have a c-section with how well my pregnancy is progressing and how well Derek's delivery was. She predicts this delivery will be even easier. I had my ultrasound after my doctor appointment and this radiologist couldn't tell me the approximate weight of the babies like they have in the past. So I was bummed. She said she cant tell for sure and I would have to wait until my next appointment with the doctor to go over it. So it's good news that everything is going so well, but now I really think I have another 4 weeks until these babies decide to come! I can't wait until it's over!!

I thought I would take a few pictures of the 'temporary' nursery at my parents house. We really thought we would have found a house by now! I love the bedding because it's so neutral, black & white gingham with blue, yellow, green, and pink farm animals. And it was a steal! It's by a brand called Global Baby and retails for over $189... but I found it at TJ Maxx for $39! And a few weeks after I bought it my mom was at another TJ Maxx and found another one for $49! So I was able to get two for when we switch them to their own cribs! And I love that I can interchange the sheets to pick or blue or green or yellow, and it will still match so well. We haven't painted the room or done anything extra to make it cute since it's only temporary.... but since I still seem to have weeks left of my pregnancy I think maybe we'll paint it and make it more inviting and baby-like.

I love the lamp

Kelly, I am happy to hear that you got a good report from the doctor today, but I know by this stage of the game, you are hoping to hear the doctor say, " Go staight to the hospital, these babies are coming now!" Hang in there, it is best for them to stay inside and grow, then that way they are all the better when you bring them home.
Love the bedding!
The boys pic was cute too. Poor fellows.....Just think, if they were basketball fans like my boys, you get to have that game on nearly ALL year!!! Sheesh!

Well most of that is good news...at least about the babies! I remember the feeling of just being done. Connor went 3 weeks over his delivery date. I thought he was never coming out of there. You're baby stuff is so cute. TJ Max is great huh! Keep me posted on your delivery date k. And by the by way I love this blog stuff. It is great that we can get in touch like this. I've always wanted too. Technology is great! :)

I love your baby bumpers! What a steal.
Glad to hear that the pregnancy is going so well... and I agree with your doc--I'd avoid a c-section if at all possible! Can't wait to see these little babies!
ps... look at the bright side, even though you might not have the babies for a few weeks at least it gives you some time to think of a boy name!

That bedding really is perfect for one of each. Nice find.

I'm glad to hear all is well but so sorry it's not happening as soon as you were hoping. The end of pregnancy seems like it could not be more miserable...and I've never carried two at once. Delivery really is easier the second time around so even though you have two to deliver, it hopefully won't be too bad.

Good luck struggling through the next few weeks.

Bummer about having to wait longer... you're almost there though. I would most definitely trade you places, well maybe I'm not sure I'm ready for labor yet. Cute Nursery... Emma would love the bumper and sheets she loves animals.

The room looks great Kelly! So cute. I'm glad it all came together for you. And that bedding really was such a great find. Way to go.

I'm sorry that your doctor did not schedule an induction or anything for you yet. There really is nothing comparable to the last grueling weeks of pregnancy. HANG IN THERE!! It's almost over with and you will get to meet your two beautiful babies soon.

I love your bedding and what a great price. I am also glad your doctor visit went well too. I guess just rest as much as you can. I know it is easier said then done!!

Somewhere down the road you'll be happy that it is further away from Christmas. Having to celebrate Christmas and birthdays together is tough. Kris is right though, it is best for them to stay inside for as long as possible. Hang in there.

That is such great news that everything is going so well! But I am sorry that you have to wait longer :( At the end you just want to hold the baby (babies)!
