Life as I know it has Changed!

So I knew I wouldn't have much time to blog once the twins came along... but I had no idea that I really wouldn't have a chance to do anything! Most days I don't get dressed until 1:00 pm, or even get my teeth brushed until then. I don't get anything to eat until then either. I look forward to Jason coming home from work as we all watch outside the front window for his truck to pull up.

Derek doesn't take naps anymore! The twins pretty much have the same schedule, but it's hard when I'm alone and they both want to eat at the same time.

Jillian had to go to urgent care last night because she is so congested and has been vomiting. The doctor said she has a cold, but since she is still only 5 pounds, we have to keep her away from ALL visitors and monitor her very close. Any cough or vomiting more than 3 times a day, she has to go to the emergency room. She goes back on Monday for another check up.

Then Derek goes on Tuesday to check his breathing. He has to use a breathing machine 3 times a day because he has had a cough for almost 6 weeks. Poor guy. Hopefully the doctor says everything is good now and it's not asthma or anything too serious.

Then we go back to the doctor for the 3rd time next week on Thursday for the twins 2 weeks check-up. I think we are really going to know our pediatrician well. Little Jimmy is the strong one right now. He eats and eats and is really thriving.

I have a ton more pictures, but no time to download them now... sorry! I will try later tonight.

I can't even fathom the amount of time it takes to care for two babies plus a toddler. Hang in there!

I second what mom said. Two has got to be tough. I admire any woman who can survive twins. You're amazing. You're doing great. Good luck.

I have a friend in Ohio with two year old twins. If you ever need twin advice, I'll give you her email. She's awesome.

I am sorry. Poor little jill and derek and of course you. Thalia is on the nebulizer as well, only when she gets sick. She has slight asthma as well. It is no easy for her to sit and take all the medicine. We use a movie she likes. It seems to work the best. Hang in there. Time really will fly by.

Girl hang in there, I do not know how you do it but you are built for this, only people that are built for this get experiences like this so you can do it!! I believe!
Hang in there and in no time they will be walking around with Derek!

Oh Kelly Belly!!! I think about you all the time. I didn't call back because Gennifer said you had a lot of visitors this past week, so we thought we would just wait a bit. Poor Jillian! I hope she kicks whatever she has, and starts gaining strength like her brother. You are doing great Kelly.

Oh Kelly, I'm sorry to hear about Jillian and D. I hope Jill gts better and stronger every day. Hopefully you will receive good news about Derek too.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you need me to bring lunch by one day I would be happy to get some Miguel's for you or something.

Hang in there Kelly!!

Hey, I'm sure the first couple of weeks are going to be the hardest, but keep up your spirits, I'm sure everything will get much better. So on top of being tired, and having twins, and having a toddler, they are getting sick too? You poor thing, and you are amazing to be doing what you are doing. God will never give you what you can't handle. One day at a time and soon three months will have gone by and Derek will be entertaining your new babies, and you'll have showered and dressed by 9:00!! Good luck!!

You are awesome. I can't imagine. I am sorry they are sick on top of everything else. Hopefully Derek and Jill will get better soon. Just know you are doing a wonderful job. I learned to measure my day not by what I didn't get done but by what I was able to accomplish that day. Even if it was just feeding and changing my girls. Showers and getting dressed are over rated. :)
