5 Years Later...

Today is our 5 year anniversary.. WOW! The time really does fly! I was going to copy Genny and post wedding pictures, but since we are in the middle of moving I have no idea where our wedding pictures are. So I found just a few pictures that Jason and I have together from over the years.

But first, the story of how we met. It was July of 2000 and I had just started my first full time job at Spectrum Communications as a Purchasing Assistant. I was 19. Jason had worked there for a few years already as a Project Manager. He was in and out of the office and we would see each other and say hello. He would call me to order parts he needed out in the field, but that's about it. About 6 months later (February of 2001) the warehouse manager asked Jason and I if we thought that the other was cute. We both had told him yes and then weeks past without anything. Finally Jason called me at my desk (he was out in the field). I was embarrassed to talk to him because my boss was in the same office as me. So I told him I'd call him back after work. We set up our first date for that Friday. I ended up canceling on him because I got sick. And that's the truth! I really was sick. So we re-scheduled for the next Friday night. But then I canceled again because I ended up going to Palm Springs with my mom and Genny for my birthday. He was pretty over me by then but gave me one more chance. The next Friday he took me to Disneyland California Adventure... it had just opened and neither one of us had been there yet. It was so fun! Cold and raining... but fun. And I guess the rest is history! Two years later he proposed to me at Disneyland, and we were married 7 months later. Jason is such a great guy and an awesome dad. Every day is different and he makes me laugh so much! Happy Anniversary babe!

I apologize for these horrible pictures. Apparently our scanner sucks!

Awww. Happy Anniversary! You make such a nice couple, and a beautiful family! Kelly, do you remember when I first met your new guy Jason? I was having lunch at Red Robin with my friend Jae, and as we were leaving I saw you sitting all cuddly in a booth, holding hands across the table, looking all googly eyed at each other. I stopped and said hello and made sure you introduced me to your new guy. I knew it was love, that first time I saw you together!!!

Happy Anniversary!! I just read about when my Mom first met Jason. That is so funny. I don't really remember the first time I met him. I think it was right after we moved into our new apartment and he came over for dinner and you made enchiladas. Was that it? Our little apartment family, me, you, and Jason. hee hee hee Hope you enjoyed your night out. I'll see you tomorrow.

Congrats on 5 years! I remember that summer I came home form college and we worked across the parking lot from each other...you were telling me all about him. Little did I know you'd be blogging about your 5 year anniversary 6 years later.

It is funny about clothing styles. It doesn't seem possible they could have changed that much in 5 years. But looking back, they have.
