Signs That Derek Is 2!

Today was exhausting. Jason is usually off on Fridays, as he was today. He was around in the morning, but then left to the Huntington house to paint. After Aiden went home, Derek went to bed... yeah! But once he woke up, he was like a hurricane! We found Aunt Sara's old 3-minute ice cream maker and made ice cream. That was a mess! Here are some of the clues that Derek is two:

1. He decided to lay on his stomach outside and eat from the dogs bowl of food. He knows not to eat dog food, but apparently he discovered he likes it today.

2. After making ice cream, he proceeded to take spoonfuls of it and throw it on the kitchen floor. I went to get a towel to clean it up and found him spreading it all around with his feet... saying, "Look Mom, Mom, Mom, LOOK!"

3. Decided to then go in the pool to clean him off a little and burn off some of his energy. As I turned around for 2 seconds to unlatch the gate he was in the pool scooting himself along the side halfway to the deep end.

4. After I spend what seems like forever taking down the safety gate, he decides he's cold and finished swimming.

5. We had Chinese food for dinner and after we were finished I put our plates on the coutertop. Derek took them all done and dumped all the leftovers on the floor. Then let all 4 dogs inside to eat it.

6. I took a shower with him and had him so clean and in his PJ's. I locked the back door but he managed to open it and dunk his head in the dogs water bucket. Not only getting his whole head wet, but also his PJ's. He THEN decided to go in the sand box all wet... NICE!

I think that sums up our afternoon. Some may say I didn't have a good eye on him. But I'm telling you he is like a tornado! Always on the move! And super mischievous!

Wow, I am exhausted after just reading all that tornado clean up you had to do today. Sorry he was so mischevious today. Never a dull moment is there?

Oh Kelly...I feel your pain. My two year old is just as bad. Why do they do this to us? What is it about being two? Only, I'm not pregnant with twins. Dealing with a two year old while pregnant is unbearable. Pregnancy makes everything worse.
