4th of July Celebration

We celebrated the fourth at our house again.  It's just so much easier to stay home when you have two 1-year old's.  I sure do miss our days living in Huntington Beach for July 4th.  Staying home in Corona is definitely a different kind of 4th of July.  But it was fun, nonetheless.  Very laid back and low key.

We had great entertainment...

I was the grill master... because I don't like burgers that look like charcoal.  (Sorry babe)
I love how much use we're getting out of the bar Jason built.  It's perfect for entertaining.

A certain little girl was so attached to Aunt Jenny
(or maybe it was my homemade strawberry cheesecake?)

I wish it were easier to get a picture of the kids.  But I thought these were pretty cute.

We've been searching for a conversation set for the patio for a couple months now.  I found this one at Wal-Mart last week.  It was the least expensive out of the few I've had my eye on... and I actually liked it the best.   And the outdoor rug... on clearance at Target for $29, marked down from $79!  I love a bargain!  We spend even more time outside now that we have comfortable seating.

Back to the celebration... We swam a lot.  It was actually a very cool day for the begining of July in Southern California.  I don't think it even got to be 85... which was great.  A few days before the party Jason had treated the spa with an algae chemical.  When the spa was turned on it created mass amounts of foam.  The kids loved it.

Jason and I dropped off his parents, Derek, Aiden, and Jennifer at the park to see the fireworks.  We took James and Jillian back home to bathe them... they were out by 8:00.  Jason and I watched the fireworks from our backyard.  They all walked back home and we finished off our own fireworks in the yard.  We were in bed by 11:00.  And the best part of the entire weekend.... all three kids slept until 9:15 the next morning!

Bliss!
