Last Friday the Nordstrom sale started. I got a babysitter and went with one of my girlfriends. We had lunch at the cafe and it was awesome to be without kids.
We have been in desperate need of a new dryer. It's been quite a few months now that I have to dry each load 2 or 3 times before the clothes are dry. So Friday night we packed the kids up and went down to Sears Outlet to get a new washer & dryer... lucky me. I would have been fine with just a dryer. But I have a funny husband who has this thing that everything has to match, including your washer and dryer. I found it funny that a man would care so much, when I could care less. But I sure do LOVE my new set! We went with the top loader. I'm glad we did. It has the largest capacity and I've known a few people who have had issues with their front loaders. Anyway, they're both great. They fit SOOO much! But it's been a week and the happiness of doing laundry has ended.
Derek's favorite place to go is the Big Bear Discovery Center. Every weekend they have a craft for the kids to do. And the kids can't get enough of the stuffed bears and wild animals. Although it took Jilli a good half hour to not be afraid of them.
I don't promote wearing socks with sandals in ANY way. But her poor toes wear poking through her sandals and she was getting mad... so I HAD to do it.
Making their butterfly and dragonfly crafts. Jillian was so into helping out. I think she loved not having to compete with her twin brother.
We came home and did some swimming. Derek is such a fish. He can swim all over the pool now by himself. He loves throwing things to the bottom of the pool so he can jump in and retrieve them. Scares me to death, but he's become an awesome swimmer.
I've still been doing facials and waxing clients at my parent's house. My BFF's sister comes regularly to get her brows done and she told me about this workout DVD she's been doing. It's Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I'm only on day 5 and think it's amazing. I love it... and I notice changes already. It's a 20 minute workout. What could be more perfect for a stay at home mom? I have changed my eating habits as well, but I'm getting excited. I've also been doing a 4 mile walk/run every night and I feel great. But I'm tired. I don't usually start my walks until 9:30 or 10:00 at night so by the time I'm back home and showered, it's almost midnight and I'm beat. But the results will be worth it... that's what I keep telling myself.
And just to prove that James is still in our family since he wasn't in any other pictures....
And one more thing. I need to take my laptop in for service. Jillian has removed the 'G', 'V', and 'ALT' keys from my keyboard. So whenever I need to type a word that includes a G or V, I have to press down on that key so hard. It's so annoying. Thanks Jilli!

Kelly,
I ALWAYS love your posts. Greg and I, as you know, love Big Bear. Going up next week in fact. We love Discovery Center too. I am going to go find your parents place!
Sounds like you've been super busy. But then again, you have twins, so when are you not super busy right? Fancy new washer AND dryer! Nice. Sorry the fun has worn off already. Laundry stinks. Never ending. Ever.
I am counting down til our night out!
I love the new washer and dryer...our washer has been dying for a while :( You have been busy! Sorry I didn't comment on all of your posts, but I am trying to catch up! I read them all though :)
Ohhh, to have a new washer and dryer...does it make laundry more fun? That would be a sure seller for me :)
Jillian looks like such a little girl in those pics! They are both getting so big every time I see them!!
