Jamie's Coming!
I just have to say I'm SOO EXCITED for my friend Jamie to come visit! She's been a great friend since I met her about 7 years ago, and I miss her! She lives in San Francisco and hasn't seen Derek since he was 8 months old... so it should be fun! Her first request was that we go to Miguel's for a bean, rice & cheese burrito. Funny, huh?! See ya at the airport tomorrow! Yeah Jamie!

So I apparently spend way too much time on the computer to know that you already left a comment on my blog.
Melissa is in Corona now...living at her parents. Her and her cute family are planning to move after she has her baby (which is sometime in August.) If you wanted to catch up with her, her parents number is still the same. She is pregnant with her 3rd child. Her first one died. Her little boy is 1 1/2. She likes to read everyone's blogs but I can't talk her into starting one. I flew out for Traci's wedding a few years ago and stayed with her. She was really fun. Her and her husband are cute together.
I have tried to get in touch with Natalie several times. She has no interest in keeping in touch. I went to her wedding like 5 years ago out in Utah. She came to mine, but that was the first I had seen her since high school. Then a few months later I got an invitation to hers. I used to send her emails a few times a year. I know I had the right email address because she sent me a two line email about two years ago. But that's it. I've stopped trying. Weird huh? I actually used to think that Natalie and I would keep in touch forever. I don't know if any of the other girls keep in touch with her or not.
That's the low down. I didn't keep in touch with any of these girls...except sporadically...until I started blogging about a year ago...then they all appeared out of nowhere. It's been fun. I'm in Texas and Jeanine is in Oklahoma, but she's only like 2 hours away. She headed down for a wedding this weekend and stopping here for a visit. It's weird to be a grown up.
I have never been to the Santa ana zoo but have wondered about it! Let me know when you want to meet up, I think Derek and Olivia would have a great time together and it would be so awesome to see you!!!

I've tried to keep in touch with Natalie with no success... I actually talked to her on the phone a few years ago. She told me that her brother BJ was getting married. She was getting ready to move to Pennsylvania so her husband could get his PhD. I haven't heard from her since.

About making your blog private...
click CUSTOMIZE at the top right.
Click the SETTINGS tab at the top left.
just under that...all the way at the right, click on PERMISSIONS.
The second block down is titled BLOG READERS. It asks who can view this blog? Click ONLY PEOPLE I CHOOSE.
I've never had my blog private so I don't know what to do from there, but I'm sure it will explain.
What I do since my blog is not private...
I click on BASIC instead of PERMISSIONS. I click NO on Add Your Blog To Our Listings, and NO and let Search Engines Find Your Blog. That way no one can google search me or my kids and find my blog.
I hate to go private...I have found so many friends, like you and Genny...because my blog is public. If I ever felt threatened, I would for sure go private. I never mention the city I live in. I share my last name because it's Smith. Katie Smith is a VERY common name. I watch to see who is viewing my blog. I use STATCOUNTER.COM. I can totally see why people would want to go private.
