I've mentioned in previous posts that I love the sling. I think you can only use the sling until the babies are about 3 months; then you switch to the Baby B'jorn. Well, Jason still insists on using the sling. And he always manages to bump their heads while they are in the sling. Usually not bad though. On Monday he had Jillian in the sling and was switching shoulders. He had the sling in his hands and lost his grip and dropped her (still in the sling) on his work bench. It was only about a foot down, but still... he dropped her. Now I had no idea this happened until the following day at lunch when my mom noticed that hear head was swollen the size of a softball! Yes, a SOFTBALL! I didn't think that it was from a bump in the head though, because there was no bruise or knot. It was a big, soft swollen mass. It felt like there was fluid inside. We called the doctor and had an appointment to see him a few hours later. So I called Jason and asked if he had bumped her head and it was then that he told me about it. Imagine how bad he felt, and rightfully so! I was mad!
So Dr. Deterville checked her out and said she should be fine and just has extreme swelling. She had to get an xray of her skull to make sure it's not cracked. I still haven't heard back from the doctors office (I've left 2 messages), but I think that no news is good news. She is doing SO much better today and the swelling is down about 85%.
So all in all, her daddy felt extremely bad and I have firbidden him of using the sling anymore!

I can't believe Dr. Deterville is still around. He was my kid's pediatrition. What a great doctor he is.
Your kiddos are sure getting big fast. How nice that they're sleeping through the night. There's nothing like a good night's sleep!
Oh my goodness! I'm glad that Jillian is doing better... and that you've forbidden Jason from the sling! You should hide that thing!
Oh no!!! Bad Jason!!!
Glad she is okay though!
Kelly, did you get my emails?
O my goodness, first of all I can't believe he did not tell you but then again I do not know if Kip would tell me either???? I am glad that she is doing well and that there does not seem to be any damage done! Good to know that there is a limit with those slings :)
I'm so glad that Jill is okay!! How scary.
