silent auction

a friend from church that i grew up with needs help.  her 9 month old son, daylon, has junctional epidermolysis bullosa herlitz.  this a rare skin disease that there is no cure for.  the disease creates blisters and sores on the outside and inside of his little body, and it is very painful.  he was given less than a year to live.

this sweet baby is a miracle and has a wonderful opportunity to receive a new treatment.  read more about him here. there will be a silent auction to help raise money for a clinical trial, but help is needed. maybe you sew, or make jewelry, or create paper goods or mod-podged collages. maybe you are a photographer and could donate a shoot. or a fine-art print. maybe you don't do/have any of those things, but maybe you have a friend who does - tell them about the auction. ask them to donate. maybe you feel like you could auction off a few of your children's books. maybe you have some other gift that you feel you could donate. if nothing else, maybe you could help spread the word.

i'm donating a facial.  so even if you don't have anything to donate, maybe you could bid on something.

if you have something to donate for the auction email my friend jeanine at jeaninecrane@yahoo.com.  she needs a picture and description of the item along with a suggested starting bid by friday, april 23rd. once the auction is over she will put you in contact with the winner and you will then be responsible to ship your item to the winner. the auction will take place april 27th through the 29th at her blog: http://servingpinklemonade.blogspot.com/.

thank you for helping!

Oh Kelly that is so sad. I hate to hear of such sad stories and babies. My heart goes out to them.
