Another Wedding Weekend

On Saturday we had another wedding to go to. This one was for an old family friend, Lindsey Grubbs. She was my first friend I ever had, at age 3 (I think). We lived next door to her family in Westminster many, many years ago. They now live in Corona del Mar, but Lindsey and her husband live in Hong Kong. Pretty crazy place to live! They both work there and absolutely love it. The wedding was gorgeous and the reception even more beautiful. One of the nicest weddings I have ever attended. The reception was at Strawberry Farms in Irvine. So beautiful! The reception started out great and the dinner was delicious, but then after the first dance the bride disappeared. I was looking all over for her to say hi since I hadn't seen her since Derek was born. After waiting about 30 minutes and still no sign of her I asked her mom what happened. Apparently she got the flu or food poisoning or something, and couldn't stop vomiting. HOW SAD! She was so sick on her wedding day! We ended up leaving after I saw her for a moment and she looked as pale as a ghost. I hope it passed and she was able to enjoy her wedding, but by the looks of her I don't think it did. All in all, at least she got through all the pictures at the beginning and looked beautiful. Here are a few shots from the day.
