My friends mother (and my friend too) Kristy, recently asked on her blog, who out there still irons? This was a very interesting topic to me. I hate ironing, and only iron if absolutely necessary. Jason does his own ironing, if need be. This got me to thinking what chores, if any, do I actually enjoy doing?
I LOVE to vacuum. Maybe it's because using a Dyson is so much fun to see all that you pick up with it, or just having a clean house... I don't know. But I usually vacuum daily, or every other day.
I DESPISE emptying the dishwasher! We fill it up fast and it seems it has to be ran every other day or so.... and I keep holding out thinking Jason will unload it. But he hates doing this more than I do. Or he just knows I can't stand it if it's not emptied and I'll get to it sooner or later.
Dusting... Hate it. I hate having to move every little nick knack and picture frame. Nothing more to say about that.
Cleaning bathrooms... hate it. I make Jason do the toilets. After all, it is he and Derek who make them gross.
Laundry... hate folding & putting away. I guess that's the main part of it though, isn't it?
So it looks like there is only one chore I enjoy. Good thing I am my own house keeper and not someone else's!

I hate ironing. Jake does his own work clothes too.
I don't mind dusting so much. I love the smell of Pledge.
Vacuuming is okay. Love the results, but don't so much LOVE having to do it.
Toilets, I hate em. But Jake refuses. So I do those. But he does a lot of other chores so it's ok. Like emptying the dishwasher. I HATE that too. Jake almost ALWAYS does it. Like right now, it needs to be done, but I know right when he gets home from work he will change his clothes, and come downstairs and unload it. ;)
I do love having a freshly cleaned house. Just sometimes don't love all the work that involves to get there. Especially now with kids messes everywhere!
Kelly, your post made me smile!!! I do also like to vacuum. My friend Armenia thinks I do it constantly! I also dislike unloading the dishwasher. When my kids were little, I almost always ran it twice a day. Once after breakfast, and again after dinner. Ugh. I do like to clean, so none of those chores are offensive to me...not even toilet cleaning!

I HATE ironing too! Jimmy always does his own if he needs anything. I too hate to unload the dishwasher and Jimmy prefers to wash, dry, and put dishes away right away...so I let him do that every night. I like to leave them in the dishwasher until they are dry and then put them away.
Yes, I HATE ironing...that is why I got a steamer! Those work so much faster and they are so easy!
I also hate emptying the dishwasher too!! But I am the only one that does it so it would never get emptied if I didn't do it! Haha, you just made me remember that I have a full load of clean ones that need to be put away...eek!
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who HATES to unload the dishwasher. I used to vacuum daily when my kids were little and I loved seeing the lines on the carpet---proof that my house was clean. I used to do my laundry and fold immediately but I hate to admit that sometimes it sits out for a couple of days before I get around to folding it. I've become lazy with chores since I live alone (don't worry though, I'm NOT a slob!)
I was laughing so hard as I read this post!!!!! I argree with most of yours, but hate dusting even more than you. I don't lkie doing the bathrooms, but I HAVE to do them because no one can do them right... I mean, a toothbrush MUST be used on the toliet hinges.
