Randomness

The weekend in a fly-by post:

We ate some fudge-sicles...

(Yes, I know my sliding door is dirty... I clean it almost daily, but Bella and the boys make it dirty again & again)

Learned to crawl... YIKES! These guys are EVERYWHERE now! Under the coffee table & all over the dog. I need to find my gates!

Took a nap... or maybe just Jason did that!

The boys planted some new tropical plants in the backyard

While Jillian watched...

Jason's parents came over, along with 2 of his uncles & their families, and his sister and her kids... who knew we were having a party? Not me! But I always love company!

**** We also have noticed recently that James is cross-eyed. (I'm sure many of you have too, it's hard not to notice it). Or maybe has a lazy eye. The twins go to the doctor on September 2nd, so we'll address that issue then. Hope it's nothing serious. Poor little guy.

Update on my life as a daycare:

I try to think of different things to do each day to entertain Derek and Aiden. Most days its swimming when the babies are sleeping. But I hate when they wake up and I have to rush the boys out of the pool, dry them off, and run upstairs to get the babies.

Then there are crafts; but that never turns out very fun. Even though I have two of EVERYTHING, they still fight over wanting the other's paint, glue stick or scissors.

So I have discovered that one way they get along VERY well is getting them out of the house. So we walk to the park. It's about a mile away (give or take) and the boys have to walk since I push the twins in the jogger. They do so good staying next to me, often times running some of the way. They play hard at the park, then walk back home. About 2 miles... this makes for some very tired toddlers... HAPPY me! I will say that just going to the park is a huge production. Depending on what park we go to I have to bring a beach umbrella (some of these darn parks in Corona don't have any mature trees, which makes for no shade), a huge blanket for the babies to crawl around on, snacks and juice for the boys, formula and diapers for the babies, a toy truck, or 2, or 3 for the boys... I think the list could go on and on.

I do have to say the past 2 days have been a HUGE improvement! They are getting along way better, playing so nicely, and making my day fly by. I hope this continues!

Wow, what a week! How do you always find time to blog when you seem so super duper busy?? You are amazing!
By the way Brooke will only sleep in that bouncy chair and sleeps there for hours and hours! Thanks so much for that, it has saved my life!

Kelly...you are seriously AWESOME!

With all that you have going on, you clean your sliding glass door nearly every day?!

Plus walking to the park with two three year olds and two infants.

Plus as GORGEOUS back yard.

Your twins each really have their own look huh? Cute as ever.

Kelly,
What great pictures! I love the one of Jason sleeping and the two boys awake! Typical man!
And I love the vast difference in the babies coloring! So neat.
Glad to hear the boys are getting along better now.
I wanted to share with you a couple things I used to do with mine, and I watched a couple kids too. Give them each a bucket of water, and a clean paint brush. The big ones, like for fences!! Let them paint the house, the sidewalk, the patios.....they have a ball! It is only water!! Also, buy cheapo shaving cream..barbasol, or something, let them, or better yet, YOU spray the cream all over the sides of the shower or tub walls, stick em in there to finger paint to their hearts content. Hours of fun! Another one they love, buy big macaroni, let them string it onto yarn. You can dye it to give them color combos too.

3. I love your pool!
4. I never noticed James' eyes. Does it seem like he has a hard time seeing things?
5. Kris gave some of the cutest ideas of things to do!

Those babies of yours are so cute! Love the fudge-cycle (sp?)pictures.

The rug is from Walmart. Comes in a bag and I believe when I bought mine it was on sale for 99.99. It's an 8 x 10. I was there the other day for some stuff and noticed that they still have some.
