Dog Beach
We haven't taken Bella to the Dog Beach in quite some time, so we thought today would be a good day. First off, Bella knows when we're going there and cries and whimpers with excitement the whole way... not that it's far, but 10 minutes with the loudest, most annoying barking seems like FOREVER! And apparently she was so excited that she pooped in the back of the car... SO SICK! That's never happened before. So since she's my dog and Jason could care less about her, I had to clean it up. Anyway, we get there and realize we forgot her leash. And we can't just let her go because the last time we did that (actually I did it) she jumped off a 20 foot cliff because she was too excited to take the path down to the beach. Luckily she was okay. Anyway, we turned Derek's latch belt from his car seat into a leash... which worked great. After all that, we finally were there and it was lots of fun. The one thing that happened that annoyed me and made me laugh was when Derek was sitting on his towel eating some Wheat Thins when a yellow lab comes over and puts his wet, sandy snout into Derek's bag of Wheat Thins! The owner of the dog comes over and pulls him out, but then says to me, "It's hard to have food at the dog beach, maybe you should think about that next time"! I was like, Oh no you didn't just say that to me! Like I'm going to come to the beach with a 2 year old without a snack.. right lady! Learn to control your freaking dog! So anyway the day went on with 2 more of the same yellow lab interruptions... oh well, the dog was cute and the lady kept her mouth shut the other 2 times. And Derek didn't seem to mind sharing with the dog anyway. He loves all the dogs and he loves watching Bella do all her tricks... And I love having an exhausted little boy who takes a long nap afterwards.

that is so funny about the lady's comment to you. but she's right, what were you thinking bringing snacks for your kid to the beach! =) She obviously doesn't have any!
Cute tankini top! That is the same one that I just bought in black too. Of course we buy the same one! You have great taste.

How fun that there is a dog beach. I always feel bad we leave my dog out of things like that when I know he'd love it.
I love the leash. I would have turned around and gone home for one. Very ingenious.
Some one made a comment to me about bringing food somewhere. Right. We do NOT survive anywhere without snacks.
Your pics are so cute, you little Derek digging is a hoot. Love the tricks with the dog, sick that she pooped in the back of the car, NO BUENO!!!! The leash was a fantastic idea, I would never ever think of that!

Whenever people make comments like that to me I think "You MUST not have kids." Sheesh! Looks like you had a good time though!
Looks like fun at the dog beach. We have taken our 5 1/2 pound Yorkie a few times and he will not play with dogs his own size, only dogs that are way bigger than him and don't want to play with him. Poor baby. He would love your dog!
