I just want to talk about my wonderful parents and in-laws. I couldn't function without them! Living with my parents has been a blessing, to say the least. My mom always watches the twins or Derek without hesitating (most of the time) and is the biggest help ever! If she is home, she will just take a baby and feed or change him or her. At night if I'm busy with Derek or eating dinner, she takes the initiative and bathes one or both of the twins, that way I can focus on Derek.
As soon as my dad walks in the door from work, he takes a baby and helps out. And it doesn't stop until he goes to bed. He also will take Derek on a walk with him in the evenings and Derek just loves that. And he tells me he's proud of me. When I asked what for, he told me because I'm a good mom. Thank you Dad, that meant a lot.
Jason's mom is such a life savor too! On the weekends she will come pick up both babies so that Jason and I can work on the new house, painting and getting things ready to move in. Last Wednesday night when Jason was at school (a whole other story; but to keep it short, he quit his job a few weeks ago and has opened his own telecommunications company working directly with school districts. So he's getting his contractors license, which requires class every Wednesday evening), she came over to help me with the kids so I could make dinner and be able to bathe all 3 of them without going crazy. Not only did she help with the kids, she also did 3 loads of laundry! So thank you Maria, for all that you do.
Jason's dad came and picked up Derek one day a couple weeks ago and kept him all day. I was able to have the day with the twins and even got to get my hair done that evening (thanks Genny!). Another huge help! And Derek loves playing with Grandpa Nando (Fernando).
So thank you, all of you! I know I may not always show my appreciation, but I think I would be crying everyday without all the help you give me. I know I'm very lucky.
